For the most part, we do not charge a room hire fee, isn’t that neat! A minimum spend is applicable, required spend dependent on season. You must fill out our booking confirmation form to confirm your booking.

There is a maximum of 50 guests in Parlour for a standing event, we still want you to have a little room to boogie. A seated bash can fit approx. 18 guests.

Unless a specific end time to your event has already been confirmed with our functions team, we ask for 12am midnight to be the end time to your event.

We provide top-notch early 1900’s blues & jazz background music. This is via an iPad on Spotify and is blue toothed to a hidden speaker. You’re welcome to use your own playlists via your Spotify account, or connect your own device to our speaker. Parlour does not have a full PA sound system.

We’ll hold your booking for seven days from your original inquiry until we receive written confirmation. We reserve the right to release your booking if, after reasonable attempts, we are unable to contact you (let’s hope that’s not the case, as we’re looking forward to hosting the best shin-dig you’ve ever seen).

Why yes there is, if you cancel within five days of your event, we may charge you for the cost of the food, seeing as this would have been ordered in especially for your event.

You most certainly can, however a $50 cake fee will be applied.

Why of course! You’re welcome to bring along your own balloons, banners, photo boards or any other suave decor you might have. We don’t unfortunately permit any decor to be fixed to any surface of the building without prior approval from the head honchos. No rice or confetti of any kind (including metallic cut-outs).

We ask for all arrangements including menus, beverages, time of arrival, and any additional info, no less than seven working days prior to your event. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking form sent to you is completed and signed.

In accordance with the current liquor licensing laws, ankle biters (individuals under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian after 9pm. Upon request all guests are required to provide acceptable photo identification.

We do not have any AV equipment (screens, projectors or microphone). However you are more than welcome to source your own to bring in. We recommend Steve Jarvis from Insight AV, feel free to get in touch with him. His contact details are: steve@insightav.co.nz. We also do not recommend a microphone in Parlour as the room is intimate and the sound is great.
